Song
From February to August 2011, NDA ran the Community Initiated Water and Sanitation Improvement Project in the Song Community in the Kumbungu District.
Traditional water sources in the area involve local streams, hand dug wells and collecting rain water. However, these sources are not safe, sustainable, nor reliable. In particular, during the dry season they dry up and people had to travel up to six kilometers to obtain water.

Nyankpala
From September 2009 to February 2010, NDA ran a project in the community of Nyankpala in the Tolon District. The project addressed the under-representation of women in the decision making process, both at the household and community levels.

Kpalsogu/Dasuyili
Micro loans of GHC100 were provided to women to start their own businesses, with money from loan and interest repayments being reinvested to keep the program self-sustainable.
Enterprises included shea nut processing, petty trade and rice processing.
